About
A senior cloud operations partner, on purpose
Mariventus exists to do cloud work at a level most consulting firms don't actually staff for. Senior, direct, and paid for outcomes.
Mariventus Technology was founded in Tampa, FL in 2014 to fix a problem we'd watched for years from the inside: senior cloud talent is hard to hire and harder to keep, and most firms that sell it deliver juniors in senior clothing.
Our model is simple and narrow on purpose. Every engagement is staffed by a senior cloud operator. We focus on Azure and AWS. We price for outcomes, not for seats. If we're not the right fit for a project, we say so, and usually know someone who is.
Our approach
Four things we commit to, on every engagement
Honesty in scoping
We tell clients when we can help and when we can't. It's why our engagements tend to finish on time.
Outcomes over hours
We price to a measurable outcome whenever possible. If the outcome is fuzzy, we sharpen it before we quote.
Senior-only delivery
No bait-and-switch. The engineer on the sales call is the engineer on the engagement.
Leave capability behind
Our job isn't to make ourselves indispensable. It's to make your team better for having worked with us.
The team
Around fifteen people, all of them senior
Mariventus is roughly fifteen operators, and the shape of the team has not changed since 2014. Senior engineers, architects, DBAs, development leads and directors: people who hold those titles at software companies today, not people who held them once.
That is the entire reason we can promise senior delivery without a pyramid underneath it. There are no juniors to place, no bench to keep busy, and nobody learning on your environment. The engineer on the discovery call is the engineer on your engagement.
Leadership is on this page. You meet the rest of the team when they are on your engagement, which is the point at which it actually matters.
Leadership
Who you actually work with
Two people, both reachable. The positioning only means something if you know whose name is on it.

Jim Garrett
Chief Executive Officer
Jim leads Mariventus and owns the technical direction of every engagement.
He has spent his career as an architect and engineering leader in environments that change faster than their roadmaps. On one platform he drove customer growth past 600% while increasing release cadence, uptime, and performance, rather than trading them against each other, which is the usual bargain.
Much of that work has been consolidation: finding where separate systems and resources should be shared, then doing the merge. That is the same problem sitting underneath most post-acquisition cloud estates.

Justin Steele
Chief Marketing Officer
Justin runs positioning, marketing, and go-to-market for Mariventus.
He has spent more than 16 years building and scaling B2B technology companies across SaaS, marketing technology, and developer tooling. The job is usually the same underneath: make what a company actually does legible to the people who need to buy it, then build the path from that first conversation to signed revenue.
He works at the seam between product, marketing, and sales, which is where mid-sized firms tend to lose margin. At Mariventus that means making sure the way we describe the work matches the work.
